2012 E-Newsletter 22

Hi Everyone

This Saturday is the final day of our harrier season. Thanks to everyone who helped in the cleanup of the clubrooms last Saturday. This Saturday we meet at Avalon Park, at the southern end of the playground area, on the stopbank adjacent to the duckpond, at 1.30pm. We have our Consolation races and Turkey Trot. The U14s will run 2km, the M/W16/19 run 5km for the Junior Consolation race, and everyone else runs 10km for the Senior Consolation race. Everyone who races estimates the time it will take for their race, then they race without any watch or timing equipment on them. The person who is closest to their estimated time wins the turkey (or other prize selected) for each race. We will have a sausage sizzle, and fizzy drinks available for after the event.

We also have prizegiving on Saturday night at 6pm. We ask that you arrive by 6pm or shortly after. We are aiming to have everyone seated at 6.15pm to get the evening underway, as we have a busy, and enjoyable evening planned. You should have already let me know by now if you are going to attend. You can still pay on-line if you haven’t already, otherwise you will need to pay on Saturday night. Just in case you don’t have your ticket for prizegiving, it is to be held at “THE FOGGY DEW”, High Street, Lower Hutt.
Costs are:
Adults – $25,
14-19yrs – $20
5-13yrs – $10
and under 5s free.
Paying options: If possible, could you please pay online into our account: 03-0543-0330356-000. Ensure you include your Name and the reference Prizegiving. (If you use this option, please also email me jbaron@paradise.net.nz to say you have done so, and details/ages of those attending.
Could you also let me know if you haven’t yet, whether you are available to take part in the PAKNSAVE STOCKTAKE on Sunday 28 October. We still have one space available.

SUPPORT OUR SPONSORS

The Shoe Clinic

The Shoe Clinic has once again confirmed that it will continue to sponsor HVH for yet another year. For every dollar members spend on product at the Lower Hutt Shoe Clinic, the Shoe Clinic will donate 10% back to HVH at the end of the year. All you have to do is tell Rob and staff that you are a member of HVH and they will record your purchase to ensure it contributes to a donation for the club.

Supporting the Shoe Clinic means you are supporting the club.

The Mad Butcher

The Lower Hutt Mad Butcher has once again agreed to support our club by providing sausages for our club run day barbeques. We appreciate the support the Mad Butcher gives us and ask members to return this support by considering purchasing your meat produce from the Lower Hutt Mad Butcher.
