Hi everyone

This Saturday is the last for this Harrier season. We are holding the Consolation/Turkey Trot races. These will be held at Avalon Park.  We will meet at 1.30pm on the stopbank near the duckpond.
The Under 14s will run 2km, the Under 20s will run 5km, and the Seniors and Masters will run 10km. You will also be asked to guess your time for the Turkey Trot.
This Saturday we also have a number of club members participating in the NZ Road Relay Champs in Christchurch.  We have one team, and another composite team (with Olympic) competing.
We wish them good running and a good time, and we will be updated with results before long.

PRIZEGIVING – The Angus Inn – Saturday 11 October – 6pm

The following Saturday is the Club prizegiving at The Angus Inn.
It would be appreciated if you could make payment on-line into our account: 03-0543-0330356-00 with your name and the reference Prizegiving, before the prizegiving.
Costs are $20 for those 20 years and over; $10 for 5-19 year olds; and free for under 5’s (These costs have been subsidised by the Club for members and their families).

PAKNSAVE STOCKTAKE – Sunday 2 November

Please email me at jbaron@paradise.net.nz as soon as possible, and by next Friday 10 October, to let me know if you want to take part in this. The stocktake takes two hours.
You are required to be 16 years or over.
For those attending North Island Cross Country Champs in Taupo next year, or NZ Road Relay Champs for those not going to Taupo, $36 per member per stocktake is allocated to help with your costs, so those who do the stocktake personally benefit. If you do not attend either champs next year, the Club really appreciates the funds raised by this fundraiser, and it is an easy way to help the Club.

This site is intended to complement the official website, and is available for members to share photos, favourite runs, and other information on running and walking. THURSDAY NIGHT SHOE CLINIC RUN

For those who want to enjoy a relaxed hour long run, you are welcome to join Steve Robertson (Deputy Club Captain) who leads a pack run from the Lower Hutt Shoe Clinic at 6pm every Thursday evening. The packs go out for around an hour. Please meet at the Shoe Clinic, High Street, Lower Hutt by 5.55pm.

The Shoe Clinic has once again confirmed that it will continue to sponsor HVH for yet another year. For every dollar members spend on product at the Lower Hutt Shoe Clinic, the Shoe Clinic will donate 10% back to HVH at the end of the year. The Lower Hutt Mad Butcher has once again agreed to support our club by providing sausages for our club run day barbeques. We appreciate the support the Mad Butcher gives us and ask members to return this support by considering purchasing your meat produce from the Lower Hutt Mad Butcher.
