6 August 2001Reigning world mountain running champion Jonathon Wyatt returned to Kuala Lumpur to defend his stair running title in the Telekom Malaysia International Towerthon. Jonathon won the 800m dash to the stair well, over a surface wet from heavy rain - and then powered up the 2058 steps to take the title in 10minutes 32 seconds. Jonathon has now won the 300m climb for three successive years.
