On Saturday 13 September, HVH sent a team off to the annual Marton to Wanganui Road Relay. The 66.37km course follows back country roads from Marton to Wanganui and includes a mixture of flat and hill runs. This year’s team completed the course in 5 hours 2 minutes.
A small composite team of HVH U18 runners including Joel Carman from Wainuiomata Harriers, completed a six leg junior version of the course, winning their grade and in the process setting new course records on several of the legs for that event.
