The Incorporated Societies Act 2022 (“2022 Act”) requires Hutt Valley Harrier and Athletic Club Incorporated (HVH) to re-register under the 2022 Act by April 2026. As part of this re-registration exercise, the existing Constitution needs to be updated to comply with the 2022 Act. The Committee has utilised the template Club Constitution provided by Athletics New Zealand to draft a new document, which has been subsequently reviewed by our lawyers (MinterEllisonRuddWatts) to review our existing Constitution and prepare a new document (“New HVH Constitution“).
There is an agenda item at our AGM to vote on the New HVH Constitution which will also enable HVH to re-register under the 2022 Act in an orderly manner prior to next year’s re-registration deadline.
